The Machine that Wouldn’t Die is part performance art, part punk rock band: Beat Happening meets Devo, all under the direction of Jim Henson’s ghost.

The Machine that Wouldn’t Die, an immortal mechanical mind, will tell its story through a series of coded communications that includes static, pops, and the occasional punk rock anthem. The Machine that Wouldn’t Die will be aided by a group of bass, guitar, keyboard, and drum-wielding synthoids (who will in turn be aided by their human pets, Ryan Jenkins, Andrew Lynn, Silvia Ruzanka, Kim Tateo, and Nathan Meltz).

The Machine is available to perform at artist spaces, galleries, museums, and the occasional dingy rock club. Contact Nathan at nathanmeltz (at) for inquiries.
